Stella Maris school curriculum BSD is Education Unit Level Curriculum (SBC) in 2006.  With this curriculum schools are given freedom to develop and accommodate all the potential in junior Stella Maris BSD and to improve the quality of education units in the field of academic and non academic, preserve local culture, follow the development of science and technology that is based on faith and piety.

With this curriculum as a subject of placing student learning while the teacher becomes a facilitator and motivator for learning focus is the development of individual competence.

The assessment was conducted with a portfolio system that includes aspects of cognitive, psychomotor and affective each student.

The process of learning in the Junior Stella Maris using Joyful Learning and Smart Learning.  This method emphasizes how to manage the learning process, adjusted for student circumstances.  State students who are referred to the way the brain (left and right) to process an information into a change.  Thus, students can more easily absorb information and acquire knowledge.  Furthermore, these facilities will lead to self-motivation in students so that there is the joy of learning.

For teaching and learning activities can be meaningful to all students who have various types of learning, the teachers need to utilize the senses of sight, hearing and movement / kinesthetic as a point of information / stimulation to the brain.
